It wasn’t until 2002 that I re-entered the twirling arena once again, to assistant train Totality Twirlers and did so until 2007 when I left to have my own little girl…and after being out of twirling for the last two years I decided it was time for me to add to start a venture of my own. This is why I have joined forces with Tracie & Terrie who I’m sure will help towards making this new team a twirling success…
I started twirling aged 8 with the Starlite Twirling Troupe based in St. Budeaux .. From the first night I was completely hooked and never looked back… I loved every aspect of twirling from the dancing performing aspect to the endless number of training sessions.. I had a sense of belonging, I was part of a team… girls to laugh and cry with and to share the ups and downs… We started with carnivals/displays then progressed to regional and national competitions.
My major achievement was when I competed for the BBTSA England squad for the European Cup of Clubs, held in France in 1989 alongside fellow trainer Terrie Farrell..What an unforgettable experience!
Sadly at the age of 19 I hung up my twirling shoes and decided that I needed a social life but I always missed the twirling years…
